Enrichment

The enrichment layer of our curriculum provides our children with experiences that they may not have access to outside of school. We want all of our children to enrich their cultural capital and experience awe and wonder through different events and adventures.

A selection of the enrichment activities are pictured below.

Choir

Our exceptional choir performs at a number of events throughout the year, including Doncaster Dome (below), Music for Youth national finals in Birmingham and all around our local area.

Art Exhibition

All the children in school produced a piece of artwork in the style of a famous artist. The artwork was then displayed in the hall. Our parents/ carers and members of the community were invited to view the art at a special exhibition.

Forest School

Our trained practitioners deliver learner-led exploration and discovery with our pupils. Through a range of experiences they nurture meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impacts.

Community Projects

We work with our friends at the Co-op on a range of projects including our very successful soft plastic recycling scheme. . We encourage our pupils to take pride in their communities and we plan many events to support local community projects which include the DN7 foodbank and the St. Lawrence Church Uniform bank.

Classroom Kitchen

Our pupils learn essential cooking skills using the Classroom Kitchen project. The sessions give them the opportunity to cook, learn different cutting and chopping techniques and try a range of different healthy recipes.
