Year 3 were transported back in time to The Stone Age during their school trip to Doncaster Museum. The children had an amazing time dressing up as cave people in faux fur and animal hide. They had a go at building their own Stone Age homes using authentic materials and even took part in a blindfolded sensory game where they had to guess which Stone Age food they were touching. The children were given the opportunity to design their own cave painting and got to handle realistic tools that cave people would have used for everything from building houses to finding their food. It was a brilliant experience that the children and staff really enjoyed!
